Memory reconsolidation is the process by which previously stored memories are reactivated, modified, and stabilized. Fish Brain explores this process through fleeting moments of recall. A memory is stored only to be repeatedly reactivated. It becomes malleable and grows unruly. Eventually, it stabilizes and solidifies, irreversibly altered.
