Lotus Pond Flyover (2024)

Lotus Pond Flyover depicts the blend of hi-fi and lo-fi soundscape present at a specific pond at Ijams Nature Center in Knoxville, TN. The composition uses three recordings to portray the soundscape – two from the lotus pond in Knoxville and one from Patapsco Valley State Park in Maryland. The recording which is the primary focus of the composition opens with a collection of natural sounds which can be heard at the pond in the summer.
